1. General Terms

Blitz and Krypto provide non-paid, volunteer-based character appearances for community events, parties, and similar functions.

We reserve the right to decline any appearance request at our discretion. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

• Scheduling conflicts

• Location limitations

• Inappropriate or unsafe venue conditions

• Failure to provide sufficient event details

• Requests that do not align with our values or public image

By requesting or booking an appearance, you acknowledge and accept that the performers appear in full-body costumes that completely cover the face and head. Visibility and verbal communication may be limited during performances. This is an intentional part of the characters' presentation and performance style.

While all appearances are volunteer-based, tips or donations are welcome and appreciated but never expected.

2. Environment & Safety Requirements

To ensure the safety and comfort of the performers and event guests, the following conditions must be met:

• Designated Changing Area: A secure, private space must be provided on-site for performers to change into and out of costume. This area must be shielded from public access and monitored only by event staff or authorized individuals. It may be used at any time for breaks, costume repairs, private communication, medical needs, or adjusting equipment.

• Storage: A safe, dry location must be available for the temporary storage of personal items and costume cases.

• Temperature & Weather: For outdoor events, weather must be suitable for heavy-costume activity (not during extreme heat, storms, or hazardous conditions). Indoor spaces must be well-ventilated. indoor air conditioned venues are most preferred.

• Breaks: For any appearance lasting longer than 45 minutes, a 5–10 minute break must be allowed every 30–45 minutes to prevent heat exhaustion and fatigue and allow for a water break.

Events held in environments with excessive mud, standing water, snow, loose dirt or sand, or any other conditions that may damage the costume or pose safety risks may be declined or canceled at the performers’ discretion. Event organizers are responsible for ensuring the appearance area is clean, dry, and free from hazards that could result in slips, costume damage, or unsafe performance conditions. 

3. Code of Conduct

Performers will remain in character and behave respectfully at all times. We ask that event organizers and guests do the same.

Harassment, inappropriate touching, verbal abuse, or unsafe crowding will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Blitz and Krypto reserve the right to immediately leave any event if unsafe, hostile, or inappropriate behavior occurs—no exceptions.

4. Supervision & Responsibility

Performers are not liable for the behavior or supervision of event guests, including minors. A responsible adult must be present at all times during events involving children.

Event organizers are responsible for maintaining a safe environment and ensuring appropriate crowd control.

5. Venue Approval

For events held at private or third-party venues (such as trampoline parks, community centers, or private businesses), the event organizer is responsible for obtaining explicit permission from the venue management to host Blitz and Krypto’s appearance. Blitz and Krypto reserve the right to decline or cancel any appearance if venue approval has not been confirmed prior to the event.

6. Accessibility of Venue

If the appearance location is difficult to access (e.g., long walking distances from parking, no ramps or elevators), it must be disclosed in advance. Organizers must assist in facilitating safe and reasonable access for costume transport and performer entry.

7. Appearance Duration & Pacing

To maintain quality and safety, standard appearances should not exceed 1.5 to 2 hours unless otherwise agreed upon. Extended events must include scheduled breaks, water access, and appropriate resting conditions.

8. Media & Promotion

Photos and videos may be taken during the event and shared on social media or used in future promotional material unless requested otherwise in writing before the event.

Guests are welcome to take personal photos and videos, provided they are respectful and not used for commercial purposes without permission.

9. Liability Disclaimer

Blitz and Krypto are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses that occur before, during, or after the event.

Participation in interactions with the performers is voluntary and at the host's and guests' own risk.

Event organizers accept full responsibility for the conduct of all attendees and the overall safety of the venue.

10. Health & Emergency Situations

In the event of a medical issue, equipment malfunction, or any unforeseen personal emergency, Blitz and Krypto may pause or leave the event temporarily or permanently. We will make every reasonable effort to notify the organizer and resolve the issue if possible. Our performers’ safety and well-being must always come first.

11. Performance Limitations

Blitz and Krypto are not required to perform stunts, lifting, or strenuous activities that may pose safety risks or are inconsistent with the costume’s design and visibility limitations. 

12. Event Type Restrictions

Blitz and Krypto do not participate in events of an adult, political, or religious nature. Appearances must be family-friendly and suitable for general audiences. Requests for events that are inconsistent with our brand image or values will be declined.

13. Cancellations

If the organizer needs to cancel an appearance, we request at least 24 hours' notice when possible. Last-minute cancellations may affect future booking eligibility.

14. Violation of Terms

If any part of these Terms of Service is violated, including but not limited to safety concerns, harassment, or failure to supervise guests—Blitz and Krypto reserve the right to immediately end the appearance and leave the event site.

In the event of a termination due to violation, no future appearances will be scheduled with the organizer, and any photos taken at the event may not be used or shared by the organizer without permission.

If inappropriate photos or videos of the performers are taken or shared without consent, legal action may be taken to protect privacy and image rights.
